In this messy email world, getting things done at the right time is everything. We can write a perfect subject line, or compose an attention-grabbing piece… but all of that can easily go to waste if we send our email at the wrong time. An email sent at the wrong time can quickly get lost in the recipient’s inbox, waiting until the day its owner decides to conduct their who knows when email cleanup.
But as an entrepreneur, sales representative, or any other type of business professional, we don’t have time to wait until that happens. Thus, we have conducted a study of Bahamas Email List more than 20 million emails sent over a period of 10 months to find the ideal time to send an email. We found the answer to the following questions: On what day of the week should one send an email to optimize its open and response rate What time of day should one send that email When should one send an email on holidays?
Some of our findings were unexpected. We first looked at the number of emails that were opened each day of the week. We found that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday had the highest email open volume. Tuesday turned out to be the best day to send an email, with 20% more opens than CPA Email List average. Monday and Wednesday were tied for the second best day, with 18% more openings than average, followed by Thursday at 15% and Friday at 8%. We found that engagement levels dropped during the week, and that the weekend showed a big drop in email opens. However, if you absolutely must send an email on a weekend, Sunday would be better than Saturday.
